13 March to 16 March - Shoalhaven Gorge

Base Camp
Walk Coordinator: Tony Postlethwaite
Meet: Anytime Friday at Bungonia National Park camping area
Grade: Moderate/Hard
Distance: Various km
Description: We will meet (and car camp or caravan) at Bungonia National Park camping area on Friday 13th March. Very civilised with hot showers, cooking facilities and drinking water. (Nearest proper town is Goulburn, approx. 50-60k’s. There is a pub nearby though at Marulan. This should be of great benefit)
Three walks planned over four days: two hard, one moderate, however, the hard part is getting in and out of the gorges (400 to 550 metres ascent/descent). Once down the bottom you can elect to just admire the view and go swimming, or continue on a longer walk along the gorge.
In any event, a spectacular and interesting area.
In the words of the great Robert Lewin, "adequate footwear recommended".
