12 April - Nunnock Swamp NP

Meet: 9:30 AM at New Line Road /Parkers Swamp Road junction.

Grade: Easy
Distance: 10 km
Description: The walk: Easy 10 km stroll on well marked park walking tracks. Wanders around swamps and across upland meadows, grasslands and tall forest. Bring the camera and be ready for the rufous fantail, deer or an occasional white lipped snake! Access roads are gravel and can be a bit rough at times but this part of the Park is well worth the drive. 

Directions: From Candelo town bridge head to Bombala via Tantawangalo Mtn Road for 32 km (takes about 40 minutes) to New Line Road on the right. The green coloured road sign is hidden so look for the Nunnock Camping Area 15km sign. Follow this road for 11 km to Packers Swamp Road where we will meet. (Allow an hour travelling from Candelo). We will then travel another 4 km along this road to the start of the walk from the Park camping area.

Very sluggish tiger snake (it was 13º!).
